You can support the right to food and enjoy a weekly fresh veggie box at the very same time. 

What we do:

The Community Grocer is a not-for-profit and social enterprise which aims to address food insecurity by increasing access to affordable produce with weekly fresh fruit and vegetable markets. Community-led and moving beyond the traditional food relief model, our markets encourage social connection and promote wellbeing, while providing choice and dignity for everyone in our community.

​How this works:

​Our Fruit & Veggie Boxes come in four different sizes: Small ($20), Medium ($30), Large ($40) and Extra Large ($60). They are packed in the morning full of fresh and seasonal fruit and vegetables. We also have a dozen free-range eggs available to order. Once you have chosen a suitable box, add it to your cart and go to check out. 

If there are particular items you'd like us to leave out, please leave us a comment in the section titled 'Any comments or special requirements?' We will try our best to accommodate for allergies or a max of two items.

We currently have three options available for collecting your order:

Our Carlton Market - 510 Lygon St., Carlton between 10am - 12pm, Fridays. 

Kathleen Syme Library and Community Centre - 251 Faraday St., Carlton between 1:30pm-5:30pm, Fridays

Carlton Neighbourhood Learning Centre - 20 Princes St., Carlton North between 1pm - 5pm, Fridays

All that is left for you to do is to fill in your details and place the order!

​Like any business, your purchase will go to supporting our organisation, which runs weekly community market in targeted locations. This means that our customers will have continuous access to fresh and affordable fruit and vegetables.
